God

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.

(Genesis 1:1, 26, 27; 3:22, Psalm 90:2, Matthew 28:19, John 1:1-5, I Peter 1:2, II Corinthians 13:14)

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father, therefore He is Lord. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on a cross, therefore He is our Savior. He was buried in a tomb, yet He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death, therefore He is our Sustainer. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

(Genesis 3:15, Matthew 1:22-23, Isaiah 9:6, John 1:1-5; 14:10-30, Hebrews 4:14-15, I Corinthians 15:3-4, Romans 1:3-4, Acts 1:9-11, I Timothy 6:14-15, Titus 2:13, 1 John 2:2)

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to convict mankind of sin and to make us aware of our need for a savior. He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation and provides them with power for living and understanding spiritual truths. The Christian seeks to live under His control daily.

(II Corinthians 3:17, John 16:7-13; 14:16-17, Acts 1:8, I Corinthians 2:12; 3:16, Ephesians 1:13, Galatians 5:25, Ephesians 5:18)

Eternity

Man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God, through forgiveness. When you die, you will either spend eternity in Heaven or Hell. Eternal separation from God happens in Hell. Eternal union with God occurs in Heaven.

(John 3:16, I John 2:25; 5:11-13, Romans 6:23, Revelation 20:15)

Salvation

Salvation is the gift of eternal life from God, to those who choose to receive it. God's offer of salvation is available for everyone because Jesus Christs' death on the cross paid the penalty for man's sin (forgiveness). Salvation cannot be earned and cannot be lost. We can never "make up" for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Therefore, salvation is by grace and received through faith. The resurrection of Jesus Christ demonstrates God's power over sin and death, and provides assurance of everlasting life.

Salvation can only be received, and it begins the moment a person turns to the Lord Jesus Christ and believes in Him for eternal life.

(Isaiah 64:6, John 1:12; 3:16: 5:24; 10:27-28; 14:6, Acts 16:31, Romans 5:1; 6:23, Galatians 3:26, Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5-7, 1 John 2:2)

The Bible

The Bible is God’s Word to mankind. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian living and beliefs.

(II Timothy 3:16-17, II Peter 1:20-21, II Timothy 1:13, Psalm 119:105,160, Psalm 12:6, Proverbs 30:5)

Last Things/End Times

We await the personal, imminent, pre-millennial return of Jesus Christ in the air to receive His bride, the church, where they will be taken away to His heavenly presence. The future also holds a series of prophetic events described in the Old and New Testaments that will be fulfilled on the earth (The Tribulation Period, The Restoration of Israel, Jesus' Second Coming, The Millennial Kingdom, and The Final Judgment). Lastly, God will usher in the New Heaven and the New Earth where the saints of God will dwell in His eternal presence forever to bring Him glory.

The anticipation of these events motivates the church to evangelism, holy living, committed service, and the study of God’s word.
